Argonaftis Shipping and Trading Ltd (M.I.) is Greek based maritime company specialising in roll on roll off services or RoRo for short. The principles of the company have decades of experiences in the sector.

Our Environmental, Social, and Governance strategy is a key factor in any decision making around any new business or investment. The Argonaftis business model revolves around delivering goods greener, faster, and safer. For example, when we look at the key benefits around transporting trailers via ferry, the very first thing to consider is that all those vehicles are being removed from the road and are no longer contributing to pollution in land and especially in cities which traditionally struggle with air quality. Though vessels are by no means carbon neutral, one is adding to the abatement of air pollution by exchanging those 150-250 tractor engines for a single marine engine operating on VLSFO.

Our South Africa Project
We are implementing ferry services especially for the haulage industry using RoRo ships between the ports of South Africa and the SADC region.
RoRo ferries are not a competitor to the current road freight businesses, they are complementary, and integrate perfectly through the concept of intermodal transport. Intermodal transportation is the use of two or more modes, or carriers, to transport goods. The ferry is an ideal intermodal partner to the trucking Industry.
